Recognize squares, rectangles, trapezoids, quadrilaterals, pentagons, and hexagons. Know that squares are special types of rectangles, having all sides equal. Understand that all squares are rectangles, but not vice-versa. In order to recognize trapezoids, we must introduce the notion of parallel. We can do this vaguely, such as Sal does in the video Recognizing shapes.
