    Multiplying integers

Students will learn how to multiply integers. They'll start with concrete and visual methods. The first method involves using the Algeblocks Quadrant Mat.

The second method involves making equal groups of two color counters. The second method should indeed be taught second, as it's much more complicated.

    Watch these Mathispower4u videos:

    • Multiplying Integers Using Two Color Counters (No Zeros Needed)
    • Multiplying Integers Using Two Color Counters (Zeros Needed)

Next, students will learn the abstract method.

After that, students will learn how to solve word problems.
