In this section, students will learn the difference between two and three-dimensional shapes. They will also learn to recognize certain two-dimensional shapes, such as quadrilaterals, trapezoids, and rhombuses. Further, they will learn to recognize basic three dimensional shapes, such as cubes, rectangular prisms, spheres, cylinders, and cones. They will learn to recognize both drawings of shapes and pictures of shapes from the real world. Before attempting this section, students should be able to recognize squares, rectangles, triangles, and circles.
